Create for Carnival with SugaCayne Designs x Design Fabrication Zone x Fashion Zone

April 12 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Attention all Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering students! It’s time to take your design skills to the next level: the Carnival level.
On Thursday, April 12th, come meet seasoned carnival costume designers SugaCayne Designs, in a creative brainstorm session to help develop new innovative looks for the 51st Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival.
Last year, with the help of the Design Fabrication Zone, SugaCayne Designs created the first Carnival costume in the world using 3D-printed techniques.  This year, we are looking for creative students to help design, detail, and construct the costumes as flexible, lightweight structures integrating digital fabrication methods, kinetic functions, and micro-processing.

This is a unique opportunity open to all students who have an interest in the architecture of fashion, material exploration, experimental design, and innovative fabrication, to gain hands-on experience working with one of Toronto’s premier costume designers.
