Joyride is a bicycle anti-theft device that uses free public Wi-Fi to track stolen bicycles. 50% of all cyclists are victims of bike theft at least once, and only 2.5% of stolen bikes are ever recovered. Existing anti-bike theft programs rely on GPS to track bikes and charge users high monthly data fees. By accessing free public Wi-Fi, Joyride users can quickly and effectively track their bikes while avoiding tracking fees.
